A Circular Study of Gold at MUR LEN.
Gold never really leaves. It moves. It’s worn, forgotten, inherited, broken, and reborn.
The Gold Archive is MUR LEN’s ongoing practice of taking back gold—whole or in pieces—and folding it into future studies, future collections, and future work.
How the Trade-in Desk Works
-
Clear photos of the piece (front, back, any hallmarks)
-
Approximate karat (if known)
-
Any relevant history (MUR LEN piece, heirloom, estate find, etc.)
You’ll receive a response from Crystal directly with next steps and an initial expectation for evaluation.
02 — SHIP YOUR GOLD
If your piece is a fit for the Archive, we’ll email you a pre-paid shipping label.

The shipment includes standard carrier coverage only.

If you’d like additional insurance, you’re responsible for arranging it separately before sending.
Pieces can be:

Whole or broken
-
Missing stones
-
Non-functioning (clasps, chains, hinges, etc.)

MUR LEN CONSIGNMENT DESK
Sell your gold through MUR LEN.
Some pieces you’re ready to let go of, but not ready to drop in a generic gold bin. The MUR LEN Consignment Desk exists for those: pieces with a story, a weight, a presence sold thoughtfully, at the right time, to the right person. You trust us with your gold. We sell it on your behalf and you’re paid once the piece finds a new body.
How Consignment with MUR LEN Works
01 — SUBMIT YOUR PIECE FOR REVIEW
CLICK HERE → Fill out this Consignment Desk request form with:
clear photos of the piece (front, back, hallmarks), approximate karat and size (if known), any relevant history (maker, provenance, how you acquired it), and your ideal or expected price range. You’ll receive a response from Crystal with whether it’s a fit for MUR LEN consignment and next steps.
02 — SHIP YOUR PIECE TO THE STUDIO
If approved in principle, we’ll email you a pre-paid shipping label. You pack and ship the piece using that label. The shipment includes standard carrier coverage only. If you’d like additional insurance, you are responsible for arranging and paying for it before sending. Pieces must arrive in sellable condition. Light wear is fine; patina is welcome. Significant damage, missing stones, or repair needs may affect acceptance or commission split.
03 — AUTHENTICITY, CONDITION & PRICING
When the piece arrives, it is personally evaluated for gold purity (karat), weight, authenticity, and overall condition. If everything checks out, we’ll confirm the listing price (or price range), the commission split, and the consignment period (for example, up to 6 months unless otherwise agreed). If the piece is not a fit after inspection, we’ll let you know and arrange to send it back.
04 — LISTING & SELLING THROUGH MUR LEN
Once accepted, we prepare your piece for sale. This may include professional cleaning and light polishing, photography in the MUR LEN visual language, a written description, and listing online or in the showroom. We handle all client communication, sales, and fulfillment. You do not need to take any further action once the piece is live.
05 — COMMISSION & PAYOUT AFTER SALE
You are paid only after the piece sells (and any return window has closed). Commission splits range from 80/20 to 40/60 (you on the left, MUR LEN on the right), depending on the final listing price, rarity, and level of work required. Higher-value or special pieces may receive up to 80% to you / 20% to MUR LEN. More modest or labor-intensive pieces may fall closer to 60% to you / 40% to MUR LEN. Your exact split will be confirmed in writing before we list the piece. Payouts are issued after the sale via bank transfer or an agreed method. You may also choose to receive your payout as MUR LEN store credit.
What We Accept on Consignment
We focus on solid gold jewelry aligned with the MUR LEN world: vintage and antique 10k–22k gold, rings, bands, chains, pendants, bracelets, charms, and unique or unusual silhouettes and objects.
We typically do not accept gold-plated, gold-filled, or vermeil jewelry, costume jewelry, heavily damaged pieces, or loose stones unless part of a complete piece. Final acceptance is always at MUR LEN’s discretion after physical inspection.
Consignment FAQ
01 — When do I get paid?
You are paid only after the piece sells and any applicable return window has closed.
02 — How long will you keep my piece on consignment?
We’ll agree on a consignment period (for example, up to 6 months). If it doesn’t sell, we can discuss a price adjustment, continued consignment, or returning it to you.
03 — How is my commission percentage decided?
Your commission split is based on the listing price, rarity, and required prep work. You’ll know your exact percentage and expected payout before the piece is listed.
04 — What if you decide not to take my piece after seeing it in person?
If it’s not a fit for MUR LEN, we’ll notify you and return it.
05 — Can I consign multiple pieces at once?
Yes. Each piece will be evaluated, priced, and assigned its own commission split.
